Terms and conditions for Modes web hosting

By using the Modes web hosting service, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

Modes Users Association may immediately suspend the service without notice if there is evidence or reasonable grounds to believe that the service is being used for illegal purposes, or in the event that you commit what Modes Users Association considers to be a serious or material breach of this agreement, or if Modes Users Assocation deems that your use of the service is not reasonable. If it does so, Modes Users Association will notify you by electronic mail, telephone, or in writing of the reason why the service has been suspended. No charges will be refunded.

You are solely responsible for your use of the web hosting service and should not reveal passwords or other information which would allow anyone access to the service without your knowledge or consent.

You must ensure that anyone else whom you allow to access the service complies at all times with these Terms and Conditions.

You must not use this service for the creation, storage, transmission or receipt of a document, communication, web page, posting, email, or any other material which is defamatory, abusive, offensive, a hoax, or of an obscene, indecent, nuisance, threatening or menacing character; or in a manner which may cause annoyance or which may violate or infringe the rights of any person, firm or company; or for any form of activity deemed illegal under UK law including breach of copyright; to engage in any activity detrimental to the proper functioning of the service or equipment used by the Modes Users Association.

The hosting service is not an online backup/storage service and therefore content that is not related to your website should not be uploaded to it. Modes Users Association cannot provide backups of data, images, or other resources held on your website.

Terms and conditions for UK domain name registration

We can register a domain name on your behalf with a .uk, .org.uk or .co.uk suffix.

By registering a domain name ending in .uk, you enter into a contract of registration with Nominet UK. You must acknowledge that you have read and agree to the terms of the contract given here:

Domain name expiry and cancellation

We will renew your domain name registration automatically at the end of its period (normally, two years) and charge you a registration fee. We will notify you 30 days before a domain name is due to expire. You must notify us more than 5 days before the end of the registration period if you wish to cancel the domain name. The domain name will expire at the end of the registration period, unless you request an immediate cancellation. We will make no charge for the cancellation or expiry of a domain name.
