Modes Complete Technical Specification
Here are the system requirements to install and run Modes Complete.
The Modes Complete Server requires a Windows operating system, such as Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2016 or Windows Server 2019. It may also be run on Windows 7, Windows 8 or Window 10.
For optimum performance we recommend a dedicated server with a minimum of 4GB RAM, and a fast network (100Mbps+). A WiFi network is not adequate.
Modes Complete Server can be run on a server shared with other applications, or on a PC workstation, but performance will be slower. 4GB RAM should be reserved for Modes Complete Server.
Modes Complete Server can be run on a virtual server. Data files should be stored on the same physical machine as the application. Cloud servers are not recommended unless fast network speeds can be guaranteed. NAS drives and other external devices are not recommended for live database files. Image files and other resources may be stored on any drive or network location. The system uses an integrated NexusDB database, and does not require SQL.
The Modes Complete Client will run on Windows 7, Windows 8 or Windows 10 with at least 4GB of RAM.
Modes Complete also can be installed on a standalone (not networked) computer running Windows 7, Windows 8 or Windows 10 with at least 4GB of RAM.
We recommend a minimum screen resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. The display should be set to 96 dpi (‘normal’, ‘smaller’ or ‘100%’) as some control functions will be lost if the display is set to 20 dpi (‘ large’, ‘medium’ or ‘125%’).
The Server application requires 5.5 MB of disc space plus 225MB for resource files; the Client application requires 86.5 MB of disc space.
The system requires approximately 15MB – 20MB of space for each 1000 records, not including images and other multimedia files which may be linked to the database.
- Modes Complete runs on both 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems
- Modes Complete will not run on Linux or Mac operating systems
