Maps,
codes and timelines at your fingertips
No,
this is not the release of another Dan Brown
novel – it’s far more exciting and absorbing,
the launch of
Modes Complete!
Next
month ModesXML will be upgraded to become Modes
Complete. The program is a free upgrade
for existing ModesXML users and includes many
improvements and new features.
Modes
Complete supports SPECTRUM procedures, such as
Entry records and Loans records. It is
simple to record and manage processes using
procedure files linked to your object
catalogue.
Enjoy
a selection of new dynamic outputs which enable
you to use your data in exciting ways.
Plot objects on Google Maps, generate QR Codes
and barcodes for scanning and create timelines
for a fresh perspective on your
collection. Upload records direct to
Culture Grid and share your collection
nationally. Did I mention spell checking
capabilities? To

The
Hepworth Wakefield
The
launch of The
Hepworth Wakefield in May made headline news
and for all the right reasons.
Modes are pleased to be the CMS provider
for this gallery of national and international
importance.
This
confident statement, by Wakefield
Council, has made the Yorkshire town one of
the must see destinations in
Europe. David
Chipperfield's building is angular and
striking, the galleries light and airy (perfect
for displaying great art) and the site is
welcoming and visitor friendly.
It's
a venue buzzing with energy,
community and ideas, whilst the gallery
spaces retain a sense intimacy with the
artworks. New perspectives on the
artwork and the building reveal themselves
subtly as you tour the gallery. Scales
change all the time keeping you on your
toes. At times this feels like an
investigation into Barbara's world with pull-out
drawers full of contextual material, such
as Neolithic tools from the museum's collection,
giving insight into her inspiration.
Inspiring
it is at THW, not just as a celebration of one
of the 20th Century's leading female
artists, but as a venue for fresh contemporary
art too. This is a destination not to be
missed. |
